Hi everyone,
On behalf of the entire 21st Administration, we wanted to thank you for placing your trust in us. We'll do our best to breathe new life into the Alliance of Independent Nations community, which we're all incredibly proud to be part of.
First and foremost, we'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to outgoing president Dejon and vice-president Stanislav for having been a part of AIN for so many years. Their nations have left an indelible footprint on AIN, and we know they'll serve as inspiration down the road when it comes to the kind of roleplay and worldbuilding that makes AIN so awesome. Recognizing their long-time contributions to AIN, we've created the Member Emeritus category on Discord, which will allow honoured members who've ceased to be active to remain engaged with the chat and OOC channels. We consider this a way to maintain friendships with good people, as well as symbolizing that the door is always open if the urge to worldbuild strikes again.

We wanted to make this post to outline what our plans are for the year ahead.
AIN reform has been talked about for a long time, and we're intent on making it happen. As part of those reforms, the 21st Administration will draft and present a new Alliance Charter to the Senate. The goals of this charter will include reducing red tape and making AIN's bureaucracy more efficient, while reaffirming our commitment to keeping AIN a welcoming, open, and accessible place for new members to join.
As part of our commitment to grow AIN, we're going to be - and are currently - looking into new potential social media platforms that would allow us to promote the Alliance to a wider audience of interested people. There is a possibility that, in the future, we may expand into Reddit and/or other forums related to roleplay and world-building. This second phase will take place once the new Charter has been approved.
We want to make it absolutely clear: This is going to be a process for all of us to take part in. In his role as Speaker and with oversight of the Senate, Valen will be encouraging open debate on ideas that would improve how AIN runs. To that end, when the revised Charter does hit the Senate, we'll be holding it open for discussion longer than the existing Charter stipulates. Do not stay silent! We want every concern you have about the current state of things to be addressed.
Questions, concerns? Reach out to us whenever you like. Ultimately, AIN is about all of us. If we've got something where the Administration absolutely needs to put on the Official Statement Hat, we'll post it here on the forums and share it for all. Otherwise, the door's always open. Valen as Speaker is directly tasked, among other things, with being a key communication channel, but don't hesitate to tap any of us on the shoulder.
Thank you again for placing your faith in us. We had a roller-coaster of a year in 2025, but from challenges, opportunities can arise. We're committed to making the most of them and leaving AIN a little bit better than we found it.
Yours,
- Hats, Det and Valen
Your 21st Administration
